What is ClipKeeper?
ClipKeeper is a Chrome extension for parents and coaches that adds a Download button to GameChanger (web.gc.com), so you can save the clips and full-game videos you already have access to — straight to your computer, with smart file names. It was built by a parent of youth athletes.
Is ClipKeeper safe?
Yes. ClipKeeper only downloads videos you already have access to through your own GameChanger account. Files save directly to your computer — nothing is uploaded anywhere — and the extension is published on the Chrome Web Store.
Does ClipKeeper work with GameChanger?
Yes. ClipKeeper works on the GameChanger website (web.gc.com) in desktop Chrome. Open your team's videos and a green Download button appears on every clip and full game. ClipKeeper is an independent extension and is not affiliated with GameChanger.
Can I download full game videos or just clips?
Both! ClipKeeper downloads individual highlight clips AND full game videos. Full games are available for Pro users and download as MP4 files. Individual clips download as .ts files.
What's the difference between clips and full game videos?
Clips are the short highlight plays (9 seconds to 1 minute) that GameChanger automatically creates. Full game videos are the complete game recordings available under the "Full Event Videos" tab. Full games are typically much larger (10-30 GB) and download as MP4 files.
What file format are the downloads?
Full game videos download as .mp4 files (ready to use anywhere). Individual clips download as .ts (MPEG Transport Stream) files, which play in VLC, Windows Media Player, and most modern video players. Convert clips to MP4 using free tools like VLC or HandBrake if needed.
Is this legal?
Yes. You are downloading videos of your own children that you already have access to through GameChanger. ClipKeeper helps you backup personal family memories you already own.
Do I need a GameChanger subscription?
Yes. ClipKeeper downloads videos you already have access to through your GameChanger account. It does not grant access to new content.
What if GameChanger changes something?
ClipKeeper is actively maintained and updated when needed. Contact support@getclipkeeper.com if you encounter any issues.
